1) The Fourth issue I am studying is Depression.
2) "Depression." Opposing Viewpoints Online Collection. Detroit: Gale, 2015. Opposing Viewpoints in Context. Web. 16 Oct. 2015.
3) The central idea of this article is the symptoms and causes of clinical and mild depression. This article also states ways to prevent depression and ways doctors or psychiatrists help heal people with these issues.
4) The roots of the clinical depression are not definitely known and vary from person to person; however, researchers believe depression stems from a combination of biological and genetic factors as well as environment and stress. Just like Mild depression, Clinical depressions causes symptoms like decreased energy, loss of interest in hobbies or activities, irritability and lack of concentration, gain or loss in appetite, insomnia or excessive sleep, feelings of worthlessness or thoughts of suicide.
5) Some questions i would have for this mental illness are, Do other types of medication cause depression in certain individuals? Also, Why are there such horrible side affects of depression? What necessarily goes through the mind of these individuals?
6) Placebo Affect is a word i have trouble grasping the meaning of.
7) In the article they don't use certain words or phrases that help me understand the underlying meaning of this word.
8)  A remarkable phenomenon in which a Placebo (a fake treatment, an inactive substance like sugar, distilled water, or saline solution) can sometimes improve a patient's condition simply because the person has the expectation that it will be helpful.
9) One question i can pose to my peers would be, How can you prevent depression in your home environment?

  1. Maritza, this is very good. Are these your own words?: "The roots of the clinical depression are not definitely known and vary from person to person; however, researchers believe depression stems from a combination of biological and genetic factors as well as environment and stress. Make sure you always use your own words. This is a writing assignment and a thinking assignment and you must use your own words. Everything else is great though.
